Inside Canada applicants may be eligible to extend their stay as a Worker, Student, or Visitor or to restore their status if it expired within the previous 90 days. It is important that your passport not be expired or expiring soon if an extension or restoration application is being filed. It is usually best to apply to renew your passport early.
