Skilled and/or experienced workers and experienced business persons and their family members who want to settle permanently in a particular province of Canada, can use the Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) for an accelerated process. In order to immigrate to Canada as a provincial nominee, you must first apply to the province where you wish to settle and complete its provincial nomination process.

After that, nominees can then apply for Permanent Resident status through Immigration, Refugees, and Citizenship Canada (IRCC). Each province selects applicants based on province’s skill needs and requirements and on the basis of their education and work experience. Work or study experience in that province can be helpful for the applicants to better qualify.
