Caregiver Program - Parax

There have been many changes on the caregiver program by Immigration, Refugees and Citzenship Canada in the past years. While some programs such as Live-In-Caregiver Program and Caring for Children Program have been closed, others have been opened. In cases that the employer obtains a Labour Market Impact Assessment (LMIA), Live-In-Caregivers will still be able to get work permits.

Some caregivers can be exempt from the LMIA requirement. Special work permits might be given to those who are qualified and receive permanent job offers. Meanwhile they accumulate caregiver experience in Canada and will be qualifued for Canadian permanent residency.
